Last year was chaotic for a lot of CS:GO teams and players. Unlike the dominace eras of the past, when one or two teams used to win everything, in 2022 a lot of competitors proved capable of winning S-tier events: FaZe Clan, Heroic, Outsiders, Team Vitality, G2 Esports, and, of course, Natus Vincere.

Unfortunately for Na’Vi, the only thing they won last year was the BLAST Premier Spring Finals. In every other competition they were bested by someone. But, to be fair, they almost always finished in the top 8 and took part in the playoffs. One of the players who made this possible is Valerii “b1t” Vakhovskyi.

Who is b1t

B1t started to play for Na’Vi’s first team at the end of 2020. But he had been representing Na’Vi’s academy team for more than 15 months.

The players and the management probably watched his matches carefully and realized that they don’t need to search somewhere else – one of the best players on the planet was already a Na’Vi member.

B1t has an incredible ability to get entry kills. His headshot percentage is one of the best in the world: 60%. There are very few people who can match his precision and not even the likes of Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev come close to him in this department.

Another quality of b1t is that he always plays well. He may not excel every time, but he rarely has bad games. This level of consistency shows great dedication on his part and this is exactly what a team like Na’Vi needs.

A lot of great players have one or two excellent seasons and then their motivation drops. This has immediate consequences on their team’s results and they usually get transferred to a different team, where they regain their drive to win.

In b1t’s case, we haven’t seen any of that, at least not yet. He’s still very young though, so it’s normal for him to be preoccupied almost exclusively with his career. It will be interesting to see how much longer can he keep up his current level of dedication.

In 2022, b1t surpassed $1 million in earnings just from tournaments alone. There are very few people in esports who become millionaires by the time they’re 18, so b1t is a top-tier competitor who will have zero problems maintaining his Na’Vi position if he continues to play like this.

And when he leaves, he’ll probably get an instant offer from another top club.
