Team Falcons Are Undefeated at DreamLeague S22

After 12 matches, five of which were best-of-three, Team Falcons are undefeated at DreamLeague S22. Despite competing against the best teams in Dota 2, the former members of Tundra Esports and Shopify Rebellion are seemingly unbeatable.

Team Falcons entered this tournament with high ambitions after winning BetBoom Dacha Dubai and defeating Team Liquid 3 – 0 in the Grand Final.

No doubt, this will be the team to watch in 2024. Last year, Gaimin Gladiators, Team Spirit, and Team Liquid were the strongest competitors. But it seems that the situation has changed considerably since then.

Is it because of the latest Dota 2 patches?… Probably not. These patches did not completely change the game. They merely balanced what was broken, giving overpowered heroes slight nerfs and dead ones a new breath of life.

Team Falcons seem to be the best team in the world thanks to the synergy that has been achieved between the players and their unique talents.

A quick look at the roster reveals that Falcons have one of the best coaches in the world (Aui_2000), one of the best offlaners (ATF), and one of the best position 4 players (Cr1t-). The remaining members are also exceptionally good.

Team Falcons started DreamLeague Season 22 in group A, where they had to compete against Azure Ray, Gaimin Gladiators, OG, and BetBoom Team among others. They drew five times but managed to beat Gladiators, which is a great achievement in a best-of-two match.

The heroes they picked during this first stage of the tournament are very diverse, but it’s clear that preferences exist. We’ve seen Falcons playing Wraith King, Mars, Razor, Bane, Leshrac, Dragon Knight, Mirana, and Batrider as often as they were viable against the enemy lineup.

After finishing 2^nd in group A with a total of 9 points out of 14, Falcons advanced to stage 2, where the matches are no longer best-of-two but best-of-three. And what’s impressive is the fact that they won the first five matches and more importantly, that they did not lose a single game.

The prowess required to achieve such dominance over the likes of Gladiators, OG, and Team Spirit is off-the-charts.

At the moment, Falcons seem to be favoring Crystal Maiden over other support heroes. She’s already very popular in pubs, thanks to the buffs she received in the last few patches.
