The MSI play-in stage starts today and in a week the bracket stage will start with the playoff teams like T1, MAD Lions and Co. But T1 fans have to be strong because supporter Ryu “Keria” Min-seok will probably only play with one eye.

Recently, the star player was spotted on stream wearing an eye patch, and Keria has revealed that he’s been battling an eye problem just a week before the start of the MSI 2023 playoff phase. What happened to his eye and can he still compete at MSI? You can find out here!

With an eye patch in the stream

During his stream, Keria played solo queue matches, but one thing was different than usual. The young player wore a patch on his left eye and no, it wasn’t a pirate cosplay. He has explained to viewers that his right eye is “okay” and that he can play with just one eye.

Taking to social media, T1 fans have shared their concern that Keria’s eye condition could affect the team’s preparation for MSI 2023. However, Keria has stressed that it is nothing serious and that he has been examined by doctors. It’s probably just a harmless infection that’s already being treated.

The T1 players will only travel to London later this week as the team begins the tournament in the playoff stage, which starts on May 9th.

Always high expectations of T1

On the way to the LCK Spring Finale, T1 seemed unstoppable. In the regular season, the team won 17-1 before defeating KT Rolster and Gen.G in the upper bracket. In the grand final against Gen.G, however, they weakened, lost 1:3 and just weren’t as strong as we are used to from them.

After a difficult year in which T1 came close to winning the MSI and Worlds before falling in the finals, expectations for the London event will once again be very high.
