Reports this week suggest that Johann “seven” Hernandez could be on the brink of joining T1’s VALORANT roster. Currently acting as a substitute player for 100 Thieves, seven will likely find himself a new home in the coming weeks, with T1 now being the most likely option.

The Mexican pro only joined T1 at the end of September, however Upcomer has now reported that the youngster will already be on the move. While nothing has been made official as of yet, T1 are in negotiations with 100 Thieves, despite the 16-year-old having yet to make his VALORANT Champions Tour debut.

Why seven Would Be Keen on a Move to T1

Seven joined 100 Thieves immediately after the organization’s top 4 finish at the Masters Berlin. However, with seven still being hugely inexperienced, it was Aaron “b0i” Thao who was selected for the VCT North America Last Chance Qualifier event. The teenager has likely been frustrated at being left on the sidelines, with a move to T1 potentially providing him with more opportunities.

Should seven make the switch to T1, he would join Joshua “steel” Nissan, with the in-game leader having joined the esports giants just last week, in what was a deal worth millions of dollars. Steel could well be a major asset for T1, with the Canadian veteran having been part of the 100 Thieves roster that won the First Strike North America at the end of 2020. The former CS:GO favorite has vast experience to his name, which will undoubtedly be of benefit to T1.

Are Further Changes Expected at T1 VALORANT?

T1 is believed to have drawn up a list of potential new arrivals, with Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban having completed a trial. However, it appears that Cryocells will remain with Soa, despite Timothy “Autimatic” Ta having been missing from recent practices. Should the 25-year-old depart the org, T1 will be faced with the prospect of finding a replacement ahead of the 2022 season.

Fans of T1 are awaiting official confirmation of seven’s announcement, who looks set to become the final player on the org’s VALORANT roster. T1 most recently lost out to NRG in Tyler1’s Money Match, having previously finished 5th-6th at the VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers 2 back in the summer. The org signed team manager “Branchies” last month, as they look to give themselves the best possible chance of rising the ranks in 2022.
