After a disappointing start to the summer season, the popular North American organization, TSM, will drop Lee “Ruby” Sol-min from the team’s starting lineup for the upcoming Summer Split games.

These types of organizations tend to make these drastic changes to their lineups in the middle of tournaments when they notice that things are not working out. In addition, it’s also worth noting that Ruby was late to the season opener due to visa issues, which may be impacting the team’s cohesion and team play.

Ruby drops out of TSM’s starting lineup

Via a comment on the organization’s official subreddit, TSM’s Director of Global Social, Duncan Cox, said that David “Insanity” Challe would play in Ruby’s place in the matches this week of the LCS Summer Split 2023.

TSM kicked off the summer season with a 3-3 record through the first two weeks of play. However, it is worth noting that these six games were played without Ruby, as he was not yet ready to play due to his late arrival in NA. In addition, in these three TMS wins, we watched Insanity demonstrate a spectacular level of play, and, as a result, many in the community called for him to be allowed to play the remainder of the Split.

However, when Ruby was fully ready to return to action, Insanity was sent to the bench to give up his place to the South Korean. But, this was worse for the team, as with Ruby’s arrival, TSM had a disappointing week with three losses in three games played.

On the other hand, it is also worth mentioning that Ruby had a disappointing performance in each of the games TSM played.

WildTurtle is not comfortable with Ruby

Jason “WildTurtle” Tran, TSM’s bot laner, gave an interview a few days ago to Daniel “dGon” Gonzales, where he mentioned that the team would give Ruby a week off to see how things flowed in the lineup for Week 4. On the other hand, WildTurtle also mentioned that in all three games, they had errors in communication with Ruby, and he is not happy about how the Korean plays with the wizard.

Now, as confirmed by Duncan Cox, Insanity returns to the TSM lineup for Week 4. He has been one of the team’s best players, averaging 2.9 KDA. Moreover, thanks to Insanity’s performances, the team showed great potential, and, above all, they were considered favorites to qualify for the playoffs. However, TSM’s last three losses in week three throw everything away, as they now have to row against the current to get out of the bottom of the table.

On the other hand, Insanity will likely remain as a starter for the rest of the Summer Split, as Seong “Reven” Sang-Hyeon, the team’s Head Coach, said that it is very likely that they will define a definitive starter in the next two weeks.

TSM will take on Immortals in the next few hours for the first match of the fourth week of the LCS Summer Split 2023. After that, they face NRG and Golden Guardians.
