Red Bull launches unique rules for its women’s Valorant tourney

Women agents in the United Kingdom may soon have their own game-changing competitive moment as Red Bull launches its InstaLock Valorant tournament.

Four of the world’s best women’s VALORANT teams are expected to participate in the tournament, according to a short announcement in the Red Bull website.

“Red Bull Instalock will invite four of the world’s best women’s VALORANT teams to battle it out to become inaugural champions,” the energy drink brand stated.

What is most interesting in this tournament is the requirement for teams to play in a three-Duelist composition, the class dedicated for offensive play in the game.

 

“Featuring the very best teams in professional Women’s VALORANT and an emphasis on strategic aggression, tactical expertise and clutch skills, Red Bull Instalock promises fans around the world an unforgettable action-packed weekend,” said Red Bull in their website.

This early, Valorant Game Changers teams seem to show how much they’re locked in to have a shot in playing for this tournament.

G2 Gozen, Shopify Rebellion, GIANTX and Karmine Corp will be coming to London, with players teasing their appearances in the said tournament.

Meanwhile, Shopify Rebellion announced their participation through the release of a custom-made magazine-inspired poster.

Players from other regions are also reacting to the news, with Xipto Esports’ Alexandria “Alexy” Francisco even joking that if XiP played in the said tournament, they can play a unique 5-duelist composition.

Back in the Valorant Game Changers Championship in Sao Paulo, Brazil last year, the ex-Team SMG roster picked a 4-duelist team composition and made it work despite claiming that the picks were made because they thought that it was still a ping check.

The tournament will be streamed live on Twitch during the competition weekend.
