OpTic Texas to sign Kenny for CDL 2024

The offseason in the competitive Call of Duty scene is in full swing, and all teams are plotting their routes to build a competitive lineup that will allow them to succeed in the 2024 Call of Duty League season. One such organization is OpTic Texas, one of the most popular teams in the CDL, which looks to sign Kenny “Kenny” Williams for the upcoming season.

2023 was filled with many ups and downs for OpTic Texas, as they were one of the most consistent teams in the online qualifiers for the respective Majors, but in the main tournament, the team ran out of gas and fell short of glory. Now, they hope that for the 2024 season, this will be completely different, and, as such, they are thinking of making changes to their starting lineup.

OpTic Texas would sign Kenny for the 2024 CDL season

According to Jacob Hale, an esports journalist from the web portal Dexerto, OpTic Texas would be in talks to sign Kenny for the 2023 CDL season. This revolves around many rumors regarding OpTic’s lineup and what may happen with LA Thieves in the future.

Multiple sources have confirmed to me that at the current time, over the last couple of days, OpTic are leaning towards picking up Kenny.

After the end of the 2023 season, LA Thieves decided to release all its players, as none signed a new contract with the team. As a result, all players are in unrestricted free agency and can sign with any team in the CDL.

On the other hand, it is also worth noting that after Sam “Octane” Larew announced his retirement a few days ago, LA Thieves is left without its main AR. In addition, there are many rumors that Dylan “Envoy” Hannon will sign with Toronto Ultra and Zack “Drazah” Jordan with the Atlanta FaZe. As a result, it is highly unlikely that the LA Thieves lineup will be the same for the 2024 Call of Duty League season.
