OhnePixel Formed A Team To Play In The CS2 Major Qualifiers

One of the most popular CS2 streamers, ohnePixel, created a meme stack to play in the Open Qualifiers for the PGL Copenhagen Major. Here’s how it went.

The German personality was joined by dona, a female CS2 content creator, who is also G2 nexa’s girlfriend. These two characters aren’t the greatest at the game, so they recruited high elo FACEIT players to carry them through the Qualifier.

After some time, GANGO Esports was born, with the following players on the roster:

With no pressure and expectations, these five players dove into the third Open Qualifier for the Copenhagen Major RMR against 1023 other teams. You never know what to expect in these Open Qualifiers, as you could be playing against casual players, hackers, or actual professionals. 

Round Of 1024 Match

In their Round of 1024 match, GANGO Esports faced off against team makeMONNEY. The match was a Best of 1, with the map being Vertigo. 

Our favorite streamer, ohnePixel, ended the first half with a K/D of 0-12, meaning he had died every single round without getting a kill. Despite such a burden, GANGO could end the half 6-6. At half time, dona had four kills while the three other players did their jobs. 

The three GANGO Esports recruits finished warming up after the first half and completely swept the second to win the match 13-6. At the end of the game, ohnePixel and dona had a K/D of 4-15 and 6-15, respectively. 

Round Of 512 Match

Unfortunately, GANGO Esports matched against PassionUA, a structured Tier 3/ESEA Advanced roster expected to make a decent run in the Qualifier. This match was another Best of 1, and Anubis was the leftover map. 

As expected, GANGO Esports did not stand a chance against the young PassionUA team, and the match ended 13-3, with our streamer team being eliminated. 

Four members from GANGO Esports ended the map with single-digit kills, and it was clearly not an even match skill-wise, but that’s what you have to expect when entering a professional environment.

How Far Did PassionUA Go?

Though our personalities sadly lost the Qualifier, we can at least say they lost to worthy opponents. PassionUA defeated HAVU, another established team, to make a super deep run. The team had the tough task of playing against one of the largest esports organizations in the world, OG, where they were defeated and had their run ended at the Round of 32.

Can OhnePixel Make Another Stack?

Certainly, there are four rounds of Open Qualifiers for the PGL Copenhagen RMR, with this round being the third. OhnePixel and dona can register for the fourth and final round of Open Qualifiers and can sign up with different players as well.
