Nisha is the best Morphling player in Dota 2

Morphling is a powerful hero. In fact, he’s one of the most contested carry heroes at the moment in Dota 2. At The International 2022, he was picked 44 times and he also got banned 114 times.

These stats clearly indicate that some teams don’t like to play against Morphling while others will pick it whenever the opportunity arises.

Impressive stats

One of the players that are most familiar with Morphling is Michal “Nisha” Jankowski from Team Secret. His ability to play this hero is comparable to that of Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi’s on Invoker.

In professional tournaments, Nisha’s winrate on Morphling is 78.08%, which is spectacular. Only two other players who have picked a hero more than 50 times have a higher win rate for that hero. One is Saahil “Universe” Arora and the other is Herrera “DarkMago” Gonzalo.

The first of these players retired a few years ago and used to compete for Evil Geniuses. His best hero was Faceless Void and his stats are a bit better than Nisha’s: 69 picks, 78.26% winrate.

The second player is currently competing for Thunder Awaken. His favorite hero is Tiny. He picked the rock 68 times and won 79.41% of the professional games he played with this hero.

Morphling Strengths

Morphling is a very hard hero to kill and has only one weakness: his movement speed. At 285 MS, he’s one of the slowest heroes in the game. The fastest ones have a natural movement speed of around 330.

Apart from this deficiency, Morphling is amazing. He can wave in and out, which is essentially a blink that damages all the units it goes through. The maximum distance of the Waveform ability is 1000 or 1250 with the level 10 talent. Most people will take this talent because it allows them to play safer and join the fight from further away.

Morphling’s ability to shift his attributes means that he can farm very quickly in the early game. This is one of the heroes that will achieve high damage with almost zero items. His strength grows at a rate of 3 per level, while his agility grows at a rate of 3.9! These are some of the best stat increases per level in the game.

Morphling would be strong even without other abilities, but his ultimate makes him completely overpowered in the mid portion of the game. When you play against this hero, if you don’t end the game by the 30-minute mark, you’re in serious trouble.
