The CS Asia Championship 2023 playoffs are underway, and after the first match, MOUZ scored an excellent victory over Lynn Vision by 2-0 to seal their ticket to the semifinals.

We expected this result, as MOUZ has been playing great in recent weeks. However, we also thought Lynn Vision, the only Chinese team still alive in the tournament, would put up a bit more of a fight.

In the end, the favorite team triumphed and did so by demonstrating all its capabilities and qualities.

Let’s see what happened in this quarterfinal series of the CS Asia Championship 2023 between MOUZ and Lynn Vision.

MOUZ annihilates Lynn Vision 2-0

As we mentioned, MOUZ was the clear favorite to win this series against Lynn Vision, and they proved it with flying colors. The international squad was infinitely superior to the Chinese throughout the series. It did not allow, not even for a second, that they had any chances to take the victory.

The Chinese team should not be attacked either, as they reached the quarterfinals by beating TYLOO in the Group Stage.

The series took place in Overpass and Inferno.

Overpass

It all started on Overpass, the map pick of the Chinese squad, Lynn Vision. We all expected the home team to step up on this map and put up a bit more of a fight. However, MOUZ came out extremely strong and confident enough to take the win comfortably.

MOUZ’s CT Side was flawless in the first half, with Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo (115.9 ADR and 2.01 Rating) showing great quality in his first tournament with the team. After the first 12 rounds, MOUZ took a 9-3 partial victory.

Then, at the change of sides, Jimpphat continued to annihilate the Lynn Vision boys and, with a score of 9-0, led MOUZ to win the first 4 rounds and thus take the first map with a score of 13-3.

Inferno

Next, the teams moved to Inferno, the MOUZ map pick, where they again started extremely strong, but this time on their T Side. Dorian “xertioN” Berman was in charge of eradicating the Chinese defense and leading MOUZ to a partial 9-3 first-half victory.

Being on the ropes, Lynn Vision reacted at the beginning of the second half by winning the first 4 rounds. However, this was not enough as MOUZ struck back immediately to take a solid 13-7 victory. Thanks to this, MOUZ advances to the semifinals of the CAC 2023, where they will face Astralis next Sunday, November 12.
