Most played games on Steam Deck in March

Undoubtedly, having a portable console where you can play all your favorite games anywhere is one of the coolest ideas for all gamers.

As we can see in this list, some AAA games have high requirements to be able to run them perfectly. While it is true that the hardware configuration of the Steam Deck is somewhat modest, it is fully capable of delivering very good performance in demanding games thanks to its 800p display.

It is also worth noting that this 800p display is well-balanced compared to the internal GPU’s power. Undoubtedly, this has been ideal for this portable console, as using a 1080p panel would have been too much for the GPU.

High-performance games on Steam Deck

We can see the above if we look at the list closely. We see games like Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption, or Cyberpunk 2077, which, it’s no secret to anyone, have high requirements.

While it is true that all titles work properly on the Steam Deck, some of them (the most demanding ones, of course) need some additional settings in the graphic quality to improve the fluidity of the game. On the other hand, FSR 2.1 is recommended for this purpose.

On the other hand, we can also notice a curious fact. Resident Evil 4 is played more than Resident Evil 4 Remake. However, this will likely change in the coming days, as the remake is already playable on the Steam Deck, and if FSR 2.1 is enabled in balanced mode, it will have an incredible performance.

Game developers tend to make their games much more demanding as technology advances. However, the ability of a handheld console like the Steam Deck to lift these games smoothly is something that positively impacts the gaming community.
