Monte prevails over Aurora and advances to the Roobet Cup 2023 Grand Final

The Roobet Cup 2023 has left us with many emotions and, above all, a lot of intensity in each match. In these semifinals, we enjoyed two great games that had to be defined in 3 maps, so there is no doubt that we have enjoyed the tournament from start to finish.

The second match of these semifinals was between Monte and Aurora, where the Ukrainian team took a step forward and pulled out their chest to take an excellent 2-1 victory and thus seal their ticket to the Grand Final. On the other hand, we cannot detract from Aurora, a team that had great determination throughout this tournament and reached the semifinals after an excellent 2-0 win over BIG.

Monte will have to play a very good game in the Grand Final against Virtus.pro if they want to win the tournament and, above all, win the $150,000 in prizes.

Monte beat Aurora 2-1 and sealed their ticket to the Roobet Cup 2023 Grand Final

Aurora started this series well, as they managed to win the first map, which filled them with confidence and determination. However, Monte’s big moment came in maps 2 and 3, when they got victories to complete the reverse sweep and seal their qualification to the tournament’s Grand Final.

It all started in Anubis, Monte’s map pick, where Aurora showed determination and, above all, aggressiveness in their T Side to take the victory by 13-10. Monte got off to an excellent start in the first half by taking the win 8-4. However, the team had many defensive problems at the change of sides and could not stop Aurora’s approaches. As a result, Aurora took the victory by 13-10 in this first map.

Then, on the second map, Nuke, Monte’s spectacular comeback in this semifinal began. This is although Aurora used the confidence after winning the first map to start the first half on their T Side with an excellent 7-5 partial victory. Furthermore, this continued demonstrating Monte’s many defensive problems in this series.

However, at the change of sides, Monte woke up and hit back on their T Side by winning 8 9 rounds to take the 13-8 win and even the series 1-1.

Ancient

Finally, the teams moved to Ancient, this series’s third and decisive map

In the first half, Aurora repeated the feat of the second map and managed to take the partial victory by 7-5. However, at the change of sides, Monte, again with a really aggressive offense, managed to win 8 of 11 rounds to take an excellent win by 13-10 and seal the qualification to the tournament’s Grand Final.
