Rumors continue to swirl about the different moves teams make in the CS:GO competitive scene. The Brazilian scene is presenting many changes, as the three most powerful teams today, FURIA, MIBR, and paiN Gaming, are planning to renew their squads for the second half of the year and the imminent transition to CS2.

MIBR, one of the most popular and long-lived teams in the Brazilian Counter-Strike scene, is reportedly in contact with André “drop” Abreu and Rafael “saffee” Costa. In the last few hours, FURIA confirmed the departure of drop from their team, while, in the last few weeks, we have heard many rumors about the possible departure of saffee from the organization to make room for the arrival of Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo.

MIBR to sign drop and saffee

According to a report published by the web portal Dust2.br, MIBR would set its sights on signing drop and saffee, two of Brazil’s best players in recent months. As mentioned, drop was released by FURIA a few hours ago, while saffee seems to be the next to start exploring his options.

The report also details that both saffee and drop have received proposals from other American esports organizations. However, it seems that MIBR is the favorite team for both of them to start a new career path. In addition, it is worth noting that these players tend to stay in purely Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking teams, as communication issues are much easier for them.

This rumor strengthens after MIBR announced that Henrique “HEN1” Teles, their star AWPer for the past few seasons, has been sent to the team’s bench. This move comes as a big surprise for both the Brazilian scene and the players themselves. But it also comes on top of the departure of Matheus “Tuurtle” Anhaia from the team’s lineup in recent days. As a result, MIBR has two vacant spots that will reportedly be filled by drop and saffee.

FURIA and its radical changes

Undoubtedly, FURIA Esports wants to change its lineup heading into the rest of the season and the transition to CS2. As a result, the departure of drop and saffee (not yet confirmed) is not a surprise in the competitive scene. In addition, FURIA has been looking for different players to make a 180° turn in their lineup, and Brazilian legend, FalleN, looks like he will be their first addition.

On the other hand, there is also talk that FURIA could bring Fernando “fer” Alvarenga back from retirement. In addition, to sign Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes. Finally, nothing is confirmed by any of the teams involved, so we will inform you as all the moves happen.
