The good son returns home! As the popular saying goes, we have one of the prodigy sons and legend of LoL in NA, William “Meteos” Hartman, returning to what was his home for several years, Cloud9. However, this time the former jungler of the team returns to the organization in a slightly less leading role, as he will be part of the Content Creators team.

Meteos has more than two years dedicated to content creation, but independently, as he had not been contacted by any other organization before. However, he couldn’t say no now that his former home has arrived.

Cloud9 announce Meteos as the organization’s new content creator

Cloud9 officially signed Meteos as the organization’s new League of Legends Content Creator through a video on its Twitter account.

As mentioned, this marks the return of Meteos to what was his home during the Prime of his career, Cloud9. Likewise, we will now see the 30-year-old experienced jungler in his new facet as a content creator under the blue and white banner of C9.

About Meteos

Meteos is, without a doubt, one of the legends of League of Legends in NA. He was part of Cloud9, Phoenix1, 100 Thieves, FlyQuest Academy and OpTic Gaming throughout his career. However, the player decided to hang up his mouse and keyboard in 2020 to dedicate himself entirely to his new role as a content creator.

Meteos has constantly streamed LoL and Teamfight Tactics games for the past three years. However, his peak viewership comes when he co-streams LCS matches or any other League of Legends Tier 1 tournament. In addition, in these streams, we observe Meteos alongside former legends of the game, including a former C9 player, Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi.

In his time as a player in the NA region, we have Meteos managed to lift two championship trophies in the LCS. In addition, he also won the IEM San Jose S9 and reached the quarterfinals of Worlds in the 2013/14/16 seasons.

As mentioned, Meteos was part of important teams in the top-level LCS scene. However, in none of them, he had the same success as in his early days in Cloud9.

Cloud9 fans welcome Meteos with open arms

There is no doubt that Cloud9 fans are completely on board with Meteos’ return to the organization. In addition to being an experienced player with a lot of knowledge in the competitive scene, fans are sure that Meteos was the cornerstone for Cloud9 to win several championships in the past.

Meteos’ next challenge may be to broadcast the Worlds 2023 matches, where Cloud9 has secured its spot thanks to the victory in the LCS Summer Split 2023. While it will be a very tough tournament for NA teams, there is no doubt that at the highest competitive level, anything can happen.
