Mavi joins the Global Esports BGMI roster

Recently Battlegrounds Mobile India fans eagerly awaited the team lineups’ unveiling. Fans especially anticipated meeting the Global Esport “GE” team.

Remembering that many of BGMI’s great athletes had already been signed by other teams, it wasn’t easy to know which GE’s possible additions would be. So, Rushindra Sinha, creator of GE, emphasized the organization’s commitment to building a world-class team, which is why they created a team from scratch.

Mavi joins the GE team

After Rushindra Sinha revealed that the organization is building a team from scratch, rumors began to swirl that Harmandeep “Mavi” Singh would be on board. These rumors were confirmed thanks to a video posted by the team’s official account where they introduced the new member of the team.

GE has used an untraditional way to announce its new player. First, the video released by GE shows images of a Punjab background, then the player enters the scene to inform his addition to the team.

The release of this video has generated a lot of buzz among the entire BGMI fan community; everyone is waiting to see Mavi in action and see how far he can take his new team.

At the moment, it is only known that Mavi is one of the GE players; however, no details are known about the rest of the team. The organization is likely looking for athletes with grassroots talent.

On the other hand, Mavi has revealed that he has been testing with other players; the community suspects that it may be Jadu, Adi, and Atlas. However, these are only rumors; the organization has not revealed the rest of the squad’s names.

About Mavi

Mavi is a standout player in the PUBG Mobile competitive scene; this player rose to fame while playing in the Indian Tigers jersey in the PMCO Spring Split India in 2019. Then Mavi decided to switch teams and play with Orange Rock (OR) Esports; during Mavi’s time with OR, the team achieved different championships and became one of the most outstanding teams. Later he joined the SouL team; however, he did not have an exceptional performance in this team, which led Mavi to found the TeamXSpark team with Scout. Unfortunately, this new team did not achieve much success due to the banning of the game in India.

GE in mobile esports

It is important to note that this new BGMI team is not the first time GE has ventured into mobile esports. At the beginning of 2023, GE eliminated its New State and BGMI teams, thus saying goodbye to mobile first-person shooters.

In a live broadcast, the creator of GE commented on the affection he felt for his mobile title lineups; however, he had decided to disband the squads due to his future plans and not because of the game’s ban in India.

It is important to note that while the mobile title squads were not playing, GE received their salary. This fact showed that the organization appreciated its players.
