The movements in the VCT competitive scene continue, especially in the Americas region. On this occasion, the popular Brazilian organization, FURIA Esports, announced the signings of Felipe “liazzi” Galiazzi and Ilan “HAVOC” Eloy for VCT 2024.

Undoubtedly, with these two additions, FURIA will try to give a better image in the next VCT season. In 2023, FURIA failed to qualify for the VCT Champions and the VCT Masters Tokyo, so the main objective of this team will be to secure its ticket to the international tournaments next season.

However, to do so, they will need to be consistent in the VCT Americas League, as it is impossible to qualify for international tournaments if they do not maintain a decent level of play throughout the season.

FURIA Esports announce the signing of Liazzi and HAVOC

Through a post on its Twitter/X account, FURIA Esports announced the signing of Liazzi and HAVOC ahead of the upcoming VCT season.

The FURIA lineup in 2023 was not as successful as expected; that is more than clear. In addition, several players left the organization in August, when their VCT 2023 season officially ended. However, with Liazzi and HAVOC, FURIA intends to have a much stronger squad that will allow them to compete against the best in the region.

FURIA’s lackluster performance in 2023

As mentioned, FURIA did not have a good year in the VCT. In its first presentation of the season, in the local tournament, the VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023, FURIA finished 9th-16th place. However, it is worth noting that their loss was against Fnatic, the tournament’s eventual champions.

Similarly, after the LOCK//IN, things did not improve for FURIA, as they finished in 6th place in the VCT Americas League after losing in the playoffs against NRG. Finally, in their last chance to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2023, FURIA lost 1-2 to KRÜ Esports to say goodbye to their season.

About the new signings

However, the arrival of HAVOC and Liazzi comes at a great time for the organization, as both youngsters arrive at VALORANT’s top competitive level with a hunger for victory and, above all, to prove their worth.

Liazzi was part of the KeyD Stars lineup in their most recent adventure, playing different regional tournaments in Brazil, including a second place in the VALORANT Challengers 2023: Brazil Split 1.

On the other hand, we have HAVOC, another extremely young player (17 years old) who comes from playing in the best Tier 2 team in the Brazilian VALORANT scene, The Union. During 2023, HAVOC and The Union won both Splits of VALORANT Challengers 2023: Brazil, proving that his level of play is above the rest. However, it is fair to mention that HAVOC will debut at the highest competitive level, so we are all waiting to see what he can do with FURIA.

Now, with the addition of Liazzi and HAVOC, the FURIA Esports lineup heading into VCT 2024 is as follows:

  • Khalil “Khalil” Schmidt
  • Leonardo “mwzera” Serrati
  • Vitor “kon4n” Hugo
  • liazzi
  • HAVOC
