We have reached the third and final week of the LEC Spring Split 2023 regular phase, and with only two matches left to play, we already know two teams qualified for the Group Stage, Team BDS and G2 Esports.

Fnatic destroyed a MAD Lions team that is struggling this spring. Team Heretics, meanwhile, remains unconvincing and is unable to leave its position at the bottom of the table. Furthermore, Team Vitality and EXCEL Esports failed against Team BDS and KOI. Finally, a new episode of the unstoppable G2 winning matches effortlessly in this LEC is revealed.

Team Heretics is on the ropes after losing to Astralis

Team Heretics got a bad start in the last week of the season. In this week’s opening game, Team Heretics suffered a loss to Astralis and thus remained at the bottom of the standings. Marcin “Jankos” Jankowsky’s team cannot get back on its feet, and Astralis easily picks up another victory.

Astralis beat Team Heretics in a game in which they outplayed them in many aspects without putting pressure on themselves to win. Instead, the Crimson Star team continued to do what worked best for them, supporting Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup with resources. The Danish shooter is performing at his best individually and with Astralis, a team that has developed and continues to be very important in today’s LEC.

KOI bounces back and beats a disastrous EXCEL

KOI made positive news aboard Ibai Llanos’ team train on an adverse day for Spanish teams.

The Spanish team beats EXCEL Esports in an incredible comeback to win again and get closer to qualifying for the next tournament stage. Even though the match was not entirely fair, the KOI we watched in this Spring Split has a better face than the winter one. Despite not having the match, KOI returned two old dragons, giving them a crucial win.

KOI is extremely confident going into the start of the final week of the LEC regular season, as, in a game that EXCEL completely dominated, they were saved by purple.

Team BDS also comes from behind against Vitality and gets their ticket to the Group Stage

Another match that had an impressive comeback, but that doesn’t mean that one of the teams lost all their advantages. Vitality makes a catastrophic mistake and eats Team BDS’ comeback. In addition, we witnessed a dramatic battle between two teams tied for first place and fighting to make it to the next stage of this Split.

For more than 30 minutes, Vitality was ahead in the match but could not hold Team BDS in the end and ended up falling.

Unlike Vitality, BDS needed relatively less to enter the opponent’s base and destroy the nexus. Faced with a Vitality squad that, once again, squandered significant advantages, the Swiss team staged an incredible comeback. In the end, Team BDS remains at the top of the table, proving they are going all out in this Split.

Fnatic wins again and keeps on dreaming

Last week was not a dream; Fnatic has continued winning. The orange team has regained its motivation and is winning again with ease. In a game very favorable to the British team, Fnatic defeated MAD Lions. On the other hand, it is worth mentioning the performance of Oscar “Oscarinin” Muñoz, who proved his ability to perform in the LEC, signing an 8/0/8 with another carry in his hands.

The Black&Orange in the summoner’s rift, Fnatic, had a good strategy and executed it well. With Oscarinin’s Olaf, Fnatic posed a melee advantage composition to take the win against MAD Lions and stay in the race for a Group Stage berth.

G2 Esports proves its quality against a somewhat helpless SK Gaming

There were no surprises to end the first match of the third week of the regular phase of the Spring LEC. As has become customary in recent months, G2 Esports easily defeated SK Gaming to move one step ahead of their opponent and punch their ticket to the Group Stage.

This spring, the Samurai continues to advance and sweep SK thanks to Sergen “BrokenBlade” elik. However, the German/Turkish toplaner’s fearsome Cho’Gath was a big obstacle in SK’s way.

Finally, G2 adds a new victory in this LEC and will continue to share the lead with BDS until Sunday. The reigning LEC champion of the Winter Split remains unbeatable and even seems to have no problem winning when he sets his mind to it.
