KSCERATO declined to sign with Team Liquid

The CS2 competitive scene is in full swing, and some teams are still putting together their squads to have a compact team for the start of 2024. One of these teams is Team Liquid, a team that is making a total renovation of its CS2 roster, but one of the Brazilian stars of the moment refused to sign with this North American team.

We are talking about Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato, who rejected Team Liquid’s proposal to join the CS2 team for next season.

This can be seen from two points of view. The first one is that KSCERATO does not want to leave his comfort zone and, above all, to start communicating in English with a new team. The second, which is the one expressed by the Brazilian, is that he believes and is confident that in FURIA, he will be successful in this new era of CS2.

KSCERATO explains why he rejected Team Liquid

In an interview for HLTV.org, KSCERATO explained why he did not accept Team Liquid’s offer to join their CS2 squad.

In this interview ahead of the PARI Please 2023 tournament that is currently in full swing, KSCERATO shared that Team Liquid contacted him to sign him to their CS2 squad. However, the Brazilian superstar assured us that he turned down the offer because he wants to stay in FURIA, in his country, with his teammates and because he believes the team will succeed in this new CS2 era.

Undoubtedly, this first stage of signings in the CS2 scene has been very attractive and, above all, very busy. We have observed how big teams, which have dominated the scene recently, such as Team Vitality, Heroic, and FaZe Clan, seem to be fracturing little by little. Others, like Team Liquid, have contacted several top players to strengthen their CS2 squad. However, they were unable to convince KSCERATO to sign with the team.

Team Liquid and their dream roster

While it is true that nothing is 100% confirmed yet, everything indicates that Team Liquid will build a dream roster with top players. First, reports detail that they will acquire the services of experienced AWPer and former Heroic captain Casper “cadiaN” Møller. In addition to the Dane, Liquid seems to have agreed to sign one of the best riflers in the history of the game, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken.

On the other hand, it was also reported that Team Liquid will sign Felipe “skullz” Medeiros. These 3 new signings are joined by Keith “NAF” Markovic and Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis, who would be the only players to remain on Liquid’s roster.

KSCERATO’s rejection may not have pleased Liquid’s management. However, if they confirm the aforementioned moves, the “accumulation” of talent will surely make the organization quickly forget about the Brazilian’s rejection.
