The French CS:GO superstar Kenny “kennyS” Schrub returns to the professional circuit with an all-French team, Team Falcons.
A big move has been made by French superstar Kenny “kennyS” Schrub, who has left G2 Esports to join his native team. The 27-year-old Frenchman was once the backbone of G2 but he had been on the sidelines for quite some time. While he was occasionally seen playing CS:GO with G2 in scrims, he spent most of the last 18 months creating content and streaming CS:GO and Valorant on Twitch. Additionally, he appeared with the main squad at Intel Extreme Masters XVI – Winter in place of Nemanja “nexa” Isakovi, the in-game captain, who was unable to attend the competition owing to visa complications.

KennyS has been a part of G2 for five years, having joined the team in 2017. The French AWper has seen many ups and downs with the European organization and endured a number of roster shake-ups. During his five-year long stint with the team, KennyS won many significant events, including the 2017 DreamHack Masters Malmö and the ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals. The Frenchman has a long list of accomplishments to his credit, including winning the ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals MVP, DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015 Major MVP, and 2014 DreamHack Invitational II MVP. Additionally, from 2014 to 2015, he was ranked as Thorin’s sixth-best player and voted “Esports Player of the Year” at The Game Awards.

KennYS joins the all-French roster of Falcons
Although French Awper has mostly been inactive in CS:GO since his benching last year, it has been confirmed that he will be returning to professional play soon with a Saudi Arabian organization. Falcons have signed the 27-year-old to replace Bryan “Maka” Canda, who left the organization recently. Falcons bolster an all-French-roster consisting of notable players like Nathan “NBK” Schmitt, Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier and Jordan “Python” Munck-Foehrle. They have undoubtedly been one of the emerging teams in the region, displaying impressive performance at many B-tier CS:GO tournaments in 202.

Additionally, the French roster performed exceptionally well at IEM Road to Rio 2022: European RMR B, but ultimately did not qualify for Rio Major after losing to the eventual winner Outsiders.
