With Worlds 2023 approaching its end, different teams from all regions are determined to change their lineups to build a solid squad for next season.

However, we do not only report on the signings, as in recent times, we have witnessed different movements that surprise a lot.

In this opportunity, Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen seems to have agreed with Dignitas to separate himself from the lineup and explore his options. This news surprises the community, as the player played for only 1 year for the LCS organization.

Reports claim Jensen and Dignitas part ways

According to esports news website Sheep Esports, Denmark’s Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen has reportedly agreed with Dignitas to leave the team.

As we mentioned, if this news is confirmed, we would have that Jensen was not even with the LCS organization for a year.

As we know, Dignitas is one of the most popular teams in the entire LCS, but the team has not been able to have the desired success by winning an LCS championship or simply qualifying for a Worlds. However, that was the main reason why Jensen joined this project because who better than a player who has participated in 8 Worlds to help the team qualify for the first one?

Undoubtedly, many in the scene, especially Dignitas fans, were very expectant about this signing, as hopes were high.

However, nothing went as expected since 2023 in the LCS was terrible for Dignitas in every way; in the Spring Split, they finished in tenth place, while in the Summer, they improved a little by climbing to fifth place. However, this was not enough, and the team missed out on a place in the Worlds 2023.

Finally, everything indicates that Dignitas wants to make a clean slate to establish itself at the top of the LCS with a much more compact squad.

Jensen completely dissociates himself from Dignitas

While it is true that neither Jensen nor the organization has confirmed this move, we noticed that Jensen removed all the information referring to him being part of Dignitas on his official Twitter/X account. In addition, he also did it on all his social networks, so it seems this information is very close to being confirmed.

Likewise, Jensen’s departure would not be the first after the team ended its participation in this season. Remember that more than 1 month ago, Lucas “Santorin” Larsen decided to hang up the mouse and keyboard to focus on his family and friends.

The big question on everyone’s mind is what will be Jensen’s future. There is no indication that he wants to retire. However, with the boom in content creation in recent times, he may decide to move on if he doesn’t find a new home for next season.
