With all the leaks from community members, updates from NVIDIA, and comments from several big names, the hype for a possible Counter-Strike 2 is building. To all this, two top competitive players, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken and Dzhami “Jame” Ali have given their opinions.

As we know, the latest leaks in the previous weeks opened the door for the rumors to get much louder. But it wasn’t until Richard Lewis posted a concrete date of the Counter-Strike 2 beta launch that sparked the craze in the community.

What better way to learn more about the topic than if two renowned and high-level players like Twistzz and Jame give their opinions?

Twistzz and Jame explain what they think Counter-Strike 2 will bring

Many important personalities, players, and teams have commented on this topic. Let’s remember how Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev mentioned that the new Counter-Strike 2 is more “fun” than VALORANT. This only suggests the Ukrainian player was invited to Seattle to test the game’s beta.

However, having Major champion players like Twistzz and Jame give us their opinion is also worthwhile. While one tries to get fans to lower their expectations for Counter-Strike 2, the other thinks it could be a big game changer.

Jame, one of the mainstays of Outsiders, winners of the IEM Rio Major 2022, has commented on the arrival of Counter-Strike 2 on his Twitch channel. The Russian said that he expects the game update to be similar to Dota 2, meaning there are no changes in mechanics and gameplay, only bug fixes and map optimization. Jame said:

“I’m done learning new things; I don’t want to play CS:GO for another 20,000 hours.”

With this, Jame points out that he doesn’t like to make abrupt changes. Players must work hard to adapt to the new game, and competitions in the first few months will be random.

Twistzz does not expect many changes

On the other hand, we have to consider the opinion of one of the stars of FaZe Clan and a Major winner, Twistzz. The Canadian said in an interview at ESL Pro League S17 that “people are overreacting to Source 2”.

According to Twistzz, the new game update should only help fix some map server issues and bugs. This opinion, as well as Jame’s, is one we’ve seen the most from CS:GO competitive scene experts.

In addition to expressing his opinion regarding the possible Counter-Strike 2, the Canadian player stood next to his captain, Finn “karrigan” Andersen, who made some expressions showing that he knew much more about the subject.

Like many other players, FaZe’s IGL has dodged questions regarding this topic. In conclusion, this leads us to believe that Karrigan and several other players were among those who were invited to test the new title in Seattle.
