Only half a year after its founding, the Brazilian organization Imperial Esports says goodbye to its CS:GO coach Luis “Peacemaker” Tadeu. Peacemaker was recently involved in the spectator bug scandal, but ultimately had managed to emerge not guily. Although the team and the coach had achieved a lot together, they are now parting ways.

Peacemaker explained via social media that he is no longer under contract with Imperial Esports but would like to continue working as a coach. He thanked the organization and the players for giving him the opportunity to represent Brazil. He also expressed the desire to continue his work as a coach, “with a lot of dedication and now with even more experience”.

Peacemaker departs Imperial

Peacemaker led Imperial to qualify for PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where the team finished 9th-11th. The 34-year-old coach was unable to directly help his team in the event, as he was serving an ESIC ban for abusing a coach camera bug. He hired a lawyer to challenge his ban, which resulted in the length of the sanctions being significantly reduced. Imperial Esports subsequently competed at IEM Dallas 2022, but were not as successful as previously in Antwerp.

After that, things didn’t improve and more and more reports about possible roster changes at Imperial started emerging in the CS:GO community. But instead of a player transfer, it’s the coach who departs the team.

Peacemaker commented on his exit from Imperial Esports:

“We designed and executed everything with much love and commitment. I had a lot of fun, in six months we went from nothing to top 14 in the world and competed at a high level, exchanged experiences and lived the ‘Last Dance’ dream intensely.”

Peacemaker, who was with imperial since early 2022, is known for working for multiple teams. He has often been able to achieve good results in a short time but has never been quite able to hold his place. His stint with the MAD Lions during the coronavirus pandemic lasted over a year and was the longest of his career.

More rumors about Imperial

Imperial Esports is probably looking for a new coach right now. Who that could be, however, is still in the stars. Until then, there’s more speculation about possible changes. Allegedly, Imperial is looking to bring in Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes from MIBR to replace Lincoln “fnx” Lau. Chelo departed MIBR a week ago and could be moving to Imperial soon, however, there hasn’t been any official confirmation yet.
