After more than two years away from the Apex competitive scene, Timothy “iiTzTimmy” An has announced that he will be playing the Challenger Circuit Split 2. Moreover, the player has highlighted that he is looking for teammates to take on this adventure again in his career.

As we all know, in recent times, many popular content creators and streamers have tried to get noticed in the different games they play daily. There is no doubt that some have had successes and others not so much. However, iiTzTimmy has managed to be among the best in his branch, and we recently saw him within esports under the banner of Team Sheesh.

iiTzTimmy announces his return to the Apex Legends competitive scene

As mentioned, after two years dedicated exclusively to content creation, iiTzTimmy announced in a Twitlonger that he would return to the ALGS competitive scene.

It should be noted that iiTzTimmy has not been 100% away from the Apex competitive scene. In 2022, the player competed in the ALGS Pro League with a team called Team SHEEEEEEEEEEESH alongside popular streamers such as Jack “NiceWigg” Martin (100 Thieves) and Anthony “Apryze” Andrade (NRG).

However, before this, the player was part of the ranks of Golden Guardians, where he didn’t have the expected success, but it was his springboard to make himself known in the Apex Legends scene.

After his time in Golden Guardians, the player decided to concentrate on his career as a Content Creator, where he became very popular and has a solid fan base that follows him daily.

iiTzTimmy gives the details of why he returns to the Apex competitive scene

As we mentioned, in a Twitlonger, iiTzTimmy explained all the details that led him to leave the scene more than two years ago and why he considers now the ideal time to return.

Timmy details that bad results marked his time with Golden Guardians for him and his team, triggering him to suffer mental health issues and depression. The criticisms and doubts around the player led him to leave the scene and become a content creator.

Then, the player explains that when he decided to play the ALGS Pro League with Team SHEEEEEEEEEEESH, it was for simple entertainment because the team did not practice or anything; they just played for fun. Finally, the player points out that this team was not severe and that the good results obtained at the end of the tournament surprised them.

The player also shares a video in which he is honest with the fans and explains everything that happened. From the mental health problems when he played for Golden Guardians to the unexpected success with Team SHEEEEEEEEEEESH.

Timmy feels ready to return

Eventually, the player claims he is in a great place and prepared to rejoin the Apex Legends competitive scene. He aims to compete in the ALGS Pro League’s lower tier, the Challenger Circuit Split 2. A position in the regional Last Chance Qualification for the ALGS Championship is up for grabs in this circuit. However, it should be emphasized that neither placement nor promotion to the highest category is granted by it.

iiTzTimmy, for his part, says he is trying to finish his team. He also claims to have partnered with Lyric “lyric” Quinonez, another content creator who has previously competed for eUnited and Counter Logic Gaming. He also wants to return to the competitive scene.
