It’s no secret that just like in traditional sports and even in some esports like CS:GO, fans dream of seeing all their favorite players playing together, representing their countries in a World Cup. This idea is not far-fetched but has not yet come up in the League of Legends scene.

However, this does not detract from the fact that many in the community can imagine what the different Dream Teams that some national teams would put together would be like. There is no doubt that we should mention that South Korea would have its undisputed favorite chip.

In addition to CS:GO, which has tried it before, Overwatch 2 does have a world team tournament, something that is undoubtedly enjoyed by the entire community. However, LoL and VALORANT, two of the world’s most popular video games, have yet to take that big step.

Coach Cook shows the national teams of a hypothetical LoL World Cup

Ismaël “Cook” Lakel, the current Head Coach of the French team Atletec, shared on his Twitter account the National Teams that would participate in a LoL World Cup if it were organized.

As we can see, extremely powerful national teams, and Cook dares to order them according to the level of the players in each squad.

Strongest teams, according to Cook’s lineups

The South Korean and Chinese teams are undoubtedly the strongest on these lists. Moreover, if we look at their names, we can see that they are the best of the best on the same team. Players like Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, Zhuo “knight” Ding, and Peng “XUN” Lixun would put on a real show.

However, we can also mention teams like France, Taiwan, and Denmark and, without going too far away, Spain, which has a great player like Javier “Elyoya” Prades, who is undoubtedly among the best in the world at the moment.

If we look at each of the national teams, we can realize that any of them can be world champions. All the players are extremely good, and it would be a dream come true for them if Riot organized a LoL World Cup.

Low-ranked teams

The ranking of teams, according to Cook, doesn’t end at A-. We can also look at South American teams like Chile, Argentina, Mexico, and Peru. On the other hand, we can also see teams from El Salvador, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Ecuador, which do not participate much in the League of Legends competitive scene in the LLA.

For many years, the community has asked Riot Games to organize a League of Legends World Cup. However, there is no indication that this may be coming anytime soon, so the only thing left for all of us LoL lovers is to imagine what our national teams would look like in a hypothetical World Cup.

In my case, the writer of this article, my national team is Venezuela. Unfortunately, it is ranked in Level D. However, and it is an honor to see my country’s name among the possible participants in a League of Legends World Cup.
