Guild Esports Appoints Paul Kingsley as CFO

Guild Esports, a UK-based esports organization, has appointed Paul Kingsley as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary. Kingsley brings over 25 years of experience working across the media, technology, retail, and sports sectors to Guild. Before joining Guild, Kingsley worked as CFO for the student discount website UNiDAYS, and he replaces the outgoing CFO Clare Jarvis.

Kingsley has also served as CFO of the technology company Edge.network and worked at Coca-Cola, Schweppes, and Diageo. Currently, he is a member of the Advisory Council of the British Beauty Council. Kingsley joins Guild at the beginning of what will be an important year for the organization.

Guild Esports has recently secured significant investments, including £1M from an unidentified esports brand. The organization has also expanded into other titles such as Counter-Strike and Street Fighter. In terms of commercial partnerships, Guild secured a series of new and renewed sponsorships last year. The organization backed by David Beckham extended its partnership with the telecommunications company Sky in September 2023. In addition, the organization announced a new collaboration with the commerce platform ENDX and renewed its partnership with the snack franchise Subway last month.

Jasmine Skee, CEO of Guild Esports, expressed her excitement about Kingsley joining the organization, stating that his extensive knowledge of the media, technology, and sports sectors, along with his experience in strategic finance and C-Suite, position him as a key asset to improve the Guild brand and future growth. She also noted that Kingsley’s deep understanding of the Generation Z demographic from his recent role in UNiDAYS is highly relevant to Guild as a media-focused esports and gaming business, making him a valuable addition to the senior leadership team.
