Just 2 days after announcing its female CS:GO lineup, the European organization GamerLegion decided to terminate the employment of Chloe “KittyTM” Gearney after several racist remarks were discovered in games several weeks ago.

GamerLegion did not hesitate to dispense with the services of KittyTM, as such an important and popular organization in the CS:GO scene cannot afford this kind of action. Likewise, the organization will have to look for a replacement as soon as possible, as the team’s next match in the ESL Impact League is in the next few hours.

GamerLegion kick KittyTM out of their CS:GO women’s lineup

Through a post on their Twitter account, GamerLegion announced that they are terminating KittyTM for making different racist comments days before signing with the organization.

GamerLegion, in their official statement, mentions that they completely denounce any racist or discriminatory comments or behavior. Furthermore, they mention that these harm the people concerned and “tarnish the competitive spirit” of esports.

On the other hand, they mention that they “deeply” regret if KittyTM’s comments affected other players.

As we mentioned, this comes just two days after the signing of the former Let Her Cook lineup by GamerLegion was unveiled. Furthermore, it is also fair to mention that this is all due to different published screenshots where the Irish player made racist comments in a CS:GO game.

While different screenshots were published, the most “serious” was last September 1, in one of the replies to a UKCSGO Tweet, where it was mentioned that KittyTM was the first Irish player to qualify for the ESL Impact League.

About GamerLegion Prism

As we announced last September 25, GamerLegion announced its new women’s CS:GO lineup a few days ago, with the mission to make a presence in the ESL Impact League currently being contested.

The European organization signed KittyTM and the rest of the Let Her Cook girls, who earned their tickets to the ESL Impact League through the various open qualifiers.

Likewise, this is not the first time Kitty has participated in a high-level tournament in the women’s CS:GO scene. The Irish player was part of many ESEA Impact Cash Cup tournaments, but she joined Let Her Cook recently when the ESL Impact League S4 open qualifiers were to be played.

Before GamerLegion’s announcement, the squad had a 1-1 record in the ESL Impact League S4 European Division with a win against Shinigami 2-0, and they lost to G2 Oya 0-2. In addition, before being ousted by GL, KittiTM had a Rating of 1.15, according to HLTV, in the four maps they played.

GL has not yet announced a replacement for KittyTM but will most likely do so in the next few hours, as they will face NaVi Javelins on September 27.
