The fourth round of the Legends Stage of BLAST.tv Paris Major was full of upsets and some of the strongest competitors in the race are already out.

It seems that G2 can’t catch a break when it comes to failing at Majors. After being eliminated in the RMRs for IEM Rio Major, they now got eliminated from the Paris Major. And the team that accomplished this spectacular feat was Fnatic! On top of that, the Swedes managed to win after losing the first map.

Round four results

In other matches, Natus Vincere got beaten by Monte and will need to play an elimination match against FaZe Clan. Therefore, one more giant will be slayed tomorrow. It’s quite shocking to see Na’Vi, whose roster is full of formidable players, getting beaten by a team led by a former Na’Vi player: Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev.

It seems that sdy did deserve his spot on the roster after all, and that Na’Vi made a bad decision when they let him go. To put salt on the wound, the strongest player on the server was sdy, who finished with 43 kills and just 22 deaths. His rating 2.0 was 1.47. Meanwhile, Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev had a score of 23-39 and a rating 2.0 of 0.62.

At the same time, the player who replaced sdy, Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi, finished with a score of 17-39 and a rating 2.0 of 0.54. All of these statistics are abysmal. If Na’Vi lose against FaZe and get eliminated before reaching the playoffs, s1mple will probably ask Na’Vi’s management to change either npl or Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy.

There’s also the option of waiting until the end of the season to see what happens, but it’s pretty obvious that the current Na’Vi roster doesn’t have what it takes to win S-tier tournaments.

In other matches, Team Liquid defeated Into The Breach (2-0), Apeks lost against GamerLegion (0-2), ENCE were defeated by Ninjas in Pyjamas (0-2), and FaZe Clan managed to beat Bad News Eagles (2-1).

All of these results sent Monte, Liquid, and GamerLegion to the Champions Stage. ENCE, G2, and BNE got eliminated.

On the last day of the Legends Stage, we will find out who the final three Champions Stage participants are. The matches that determine the winners are listed below:

  • Na’Vi vs. FaZe Clan
  • Fnatic vs. ITB
  • Apeks vs. NiP
