The second day of Elite League’s group stage ended with a lot of draws. In group B, every single match was a draw. Xtreme Gaming and Aurora played two matches each, so they were able to accumulate some much-needed points. But they also lost two points. So their results are the equivalent of a win and a loss, which isn’t ideal.

In group A, Azure Ray started playing and they did well, winning three games out of four. Team Falcons suffered their first draw in the match against Team Spirit. Despite Spirit’s clear lack of form, they somehow managed to get a positive result against the strongest team in the race.

Group A Results

In group A, Entity are currently leading the way with two victories in their first two matches. To get these results, they had to beat both Spirit and OG. Three more teams are in a comfortable position: G2.iG (4 – 2), Azure Ray (3 – 1), and Team Falcons (3 – 1).

With four more matches left to be played, the bottom four teams in this group seem to be on their way to elimination. These teams are HEROIC, (2 – 4), PSG Quest (2 – 4), OG (1 – 3), and Spirit (1 – 5).

There’s plenty of room for surprises until the end of this stage, but the defeats registered by these teams seem to suggest that they’re not capable of significantly changing their place in the rankings table.

Group B Results

In group B of Elite League, there are five teams who haven’t lost a match yet: Aurora (5 – 3), Gaimin Gladiators (3 – 1), Tundra Esports (3 – 1), Team Liquid (3 – 1), and Xtreme Gaming (2 – 2). The next few days will be critical and could determine the first winners and losers. For BetBoom Team (1 – 5), the battle seems lost.

BOOM Esports (2 – 4) are starting to show signs of strength again. Pakazs and his crew have what it takes to qualify for the final stage of the tournament. But it will take a great deal of effort and skill to accomplish this because the level of opposition is very high. They are practically playing against some of the world’s best Dota 2 teams.

For Blacklist International (1 – 3), the next two matches will be crucial. If they manage to get 3 points out of 4, they’re still in the race. If not, they’re likely going to get eliminated.
