Popular content creator Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang’s League of Legends team, Disguised, had an excellent debut in the NACL, the NA LoL Challengers League. In addition to achieving a good score (1-1 draw against Team Liquid), the team had an excellent audience in its broadcast, generating many expectations for the future of the NACL.

After Riot Games announced the rule changes regarding the NACL, several large LCS organizations decided to move away from the Challengers scene, which left the future of the NACL completely uncertain. However, this only opened the doors to different new teams that want to bet on the development of this great competition.

Disguised Toast’s popularity as a content creator can greatly help attract more attention to this league that, without a doubt, has been losing interest little by little.

Disguised’s excellent NACL debut in all respects

The NACL kicked off last Saturday, June 10, 2023, and there is no doubt that all the spotlight was on Disguised, the LoL team from popular content creator Disguised Toast.

As a result, this match between Disguised and Team Liquid attracted the attention of many fans on streaming platforms. In addition, Toast had the bright idea to invite LCS legends such as William “scarra” Li and Danny “Shiptur” Le to their co-stream.

NACL had a peak viewership during the previous Split of 25,000 viewers, a somewhat low sum considering LoL’s large number of fans in NA. However, the first match of the season between DSG and Team Liquid had a peak audience that approached 30,000 viewers. There is no doubt that this is excellent news not only for DSG but for the NACL in general, as this can once again spark interest in the community.

The NACL is facing an extremely complicated challenge in this Split since the departure of the big organizations of the scene generated a lot of uncertainty on the part of the fans. However, the arrival of DSG and the increase in viewers on streaming platforms only make us think that the league can acquire a great boost from now on.

The league faced new challenges after Riot Games’ controversial decision last week. However, the addition of DSG and the resulting increase in viewership demonstrates the potential for growth and success of the NACL.

DSG shows its strength in the first game

Disguised is one of the favored teams to win this NACL Split, as their lineup is loaded with talent and experience. There is no doubt that DSG made an excellent decision in signing three players from the Challengers division of Cloud9, the reigning LCS champions.

Disguised got a 1-1 draw against Team Liquid in the first match of the Split, and the performance shown by this newly created team was good. In the next hours, they will have their second test against another great team in the Challengers scene in NA as it is FlyQuest Challengers.

Finally, it is worth noting that this is an excellent result to start the Split for Disguised, and its popularity in the broadcast only makes you think that the NACL can have a completely different Split.

NACL actions continue in the next hours with the following matches:

  • Wildcard Gaming vs. EG Challengers
  • DSG vs. FlyQuest Challengers
  • Supernova vs. AOE Golg
  • Maryville University vs. Team Liquid Challengers
  • Team Fish Taco vs. Cincinnati Fear
