Finally, the popular content creator Disguised Toast has successes in one of its various forays into the competitive esports scene in this 2023 season. Their League of Legends team, Disguised, was crowned champions of the NA Challengers League after defeating Evil Geniuses Challengers 3-1 in the Grand Final.

There is no doubt that this is great news for Toast, as it is the first victory since the content creator created his esports organization. However, this is not to say that the year has been good, as he faced different disappointments in all his divisions throughout the season.

DSG are the winner of the NACL

In an extraordinary Grand Final and an excellent level of play throughout the tournament, Disguised became NACL champions by beating EG Challengers 3-1.

Disguised’s 2023 season, as an esports organization, was complicated. Remember that the adventure started with a male VALORANT lineup that competed in the VCL NA, and even they had the superstar, Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker.

Then, the team signed two female VALORANT lineups to compete in the VCT Game Changers, but they were not as successful as expected in these forays either. Finally, they were invited to play in the NACL when most LCS teams closed their development programs in the Challengers League.

However, after falling several times, Disguised Toast can finally claim to be the champion of an official esports tournament. In DSG’s debut in the NA Challengers League, they became champions in the Summer Split.

The team had a spectacular synergy

First, let’s remember that this Disguised lineup comprises talents from Cloud9 Academy and other promising players that were part of the organizations that decided to close their academy programs.

Despite the short time together, the team could generate a spectacular synergy to perform at their best in the Group Stage, where they finished in third place with a record of 8-7-3. However, in the playoffs, we saw the best version of DSG, as they won all the games played in the Upper Bracket to qualify for the tournament’s Grand Final. In addition, it is worth mentioning that DSG only lost three games in three series played.

Finally, in the series against EG Challengers in the NACL Grand Final, DSG won the first few games extremely tightly, which made us think that EG could wake up at any moment. Then, EG put the series 1-2 on the third map to put more pressure on this Grand Final. However, DSG recovered from this defeat to win the fourth game and thus proclaimed champions of the NACL Summer Split 2023.
