Challengermode, a Swedish esports platform, faced major issues during the recent qualifying rounds for the Counter-Strike Major tournament. Many teams reported problems with the platform’s servers, leading to significant delays and a flood of criticism. Even top players like Sasha “S1mple” Kostyliev called out the platform, urging them to improve their services and hire more staff.

The platform’s website even crashed during the qualifying rounds, further adding to the frustration of players and teams. Despite the negative feedback, Challengermode has responded to the criticism and taken measures to address the issues.

Jesper Kvist, a representative of Challengermode, explained in an email to Expressen that several matches in one of the qualifiers started later than planned due to problems with service delivery from one of their cloud providers.
