BLAST reveals Paris Major RMR matchups

BLAST has revealed the opening matchups of the upcoming RMR event for the first ever Major to take place in France, the BLAST Paris Major 2023.

The complete schedule of the forthcoming Regional Major Ranking (RMR) competitions for the BLAST Paris CS:GO Major has been released by BLAST. For teams seeking to compete at Paris Major, which will take place from May 8–21 with its three illustrious stages: Challengers, Legends, and Champions, these RMRs will be their best shot and also their final.

Only 24 teams will advance to the Paris Major out of the 56 CS:GO teams competing at the RMRs, which are essentially regional qualifications for the Major. There will only be five berths available for American teams and two for Asian teams at the Major, compared to 17 slots available for European teams.

The first two stages of the competition will be played over LAN in private. The Champions Stage of the CS:GO Major, on the other hand, will take place at the Accor Arena, an indoor sports facility and music hall in France’s capital Paris, with a seating capacity ranging from 7,000 to 20,000. 

Except for the Asian RMR, which will use a double-elimination format with eight teams, all RMR events will follow the Swiss system format, which calls for a team to win three matches to qualify for the Major. Asia, Americas, and Europe A will all be played from April 6 to 9, but the Europe RMR B will take place from April 11 to April 15.
