With the revelation of the BLAST Premier roadmap for the 2023 season a few days ago, we have known the different details of what will be the CS:GO throughout the year.

In BLAST Premier’s latest conference about the upcoming CS:GO Paris Major 2023, they confirmed that the three RMRs would be played in their respective regions. In other words, the regional qualifiers for the Paris Major 2023 will be played in three separate countries, Mexico, Denmark, and Mongolia.

France is fully involved in this event

The Gallic country is fully involved with the first CS:GO Major to be played in 2023. The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, was one of the protagonists in confirming the event’s details.

One of the highlights of this conference is that the broadcast during the event will be in English and not in French, as previously stated.

In addition, the dates for the tournament were confirmed. The CS:GO Paris Major 2023 will be played from May 8 to 21.

Mexico, Mongolia, and Denmark to host the RMR

The various changes for the 2023 season were recently announced in the preliminary qualifiers. Once the teams pass this stage, they will reach the RMR, the last big step, before touching the top.

BLAST also announces that there will be no single venue for these RMRs. Instead, each region will play its qualifier near its location. With this, the cities selected were:

  • Monterrey (Mexico) to host the RMR Americas
  • Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) for Asia
  • Copenhagen (Denmark) for Europe

This way, BLAST avoids long travel times for the teams and helps fans enjoy their regional squads. In addition, the scheduling issue also plays a significant role in this decision.

So Mexico, Denmark, and Mongolia will host the top teams in their respective regions from April 3 to 9.

Robbie Douek, CEO of BLAST, said:

“We are thrilled to reveal the roadmap for the BLAST.tv Paris Major from the iconic Eiffel Tower, the perfect location to follow up on President Macron’s announcement last September.”

“While all roads lead to Paris this May, we are proud to deliver a truly global Major with the RMRs set to be hosted regionally for the first time in four years from locations in Mexico, Mongolia, and Denmark – giving players from all around the world a chance of reaching the pinnacle of Counter-Strike and esports.”

Schedule

  • RMR Qualifier: April 3 – 9
  • Major: May 8 – 21
  • Challengers Phase: May 8 – 11
  • Legends Phase: May 13 – 16
  • Champions Phase (Playoffs): May 18 – 21

The live audience is likely to be present at Challenger and Legends stage

It was noted at the conference that the Challengers and Legends phase would likely be played in front of a live audience—same as IEM Rio Major, but not official.

However, what can be done right now is register to buy tickets. Those interested in attending this great CS:GO event must register for early access on January 23. The tickets will be sold on the 26th of the same month.

Finally, Douek added:

” BLAST prides itself on delivering next level entertainment and we are confident of producing an unforgettable Paris Major, where fans are at the heart of the experience, whether at home or watching in the Accor Arena. We have a number of innovative and exciting features lined up that will take fans closer to the action than ever before.”
