BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023: NAVI and FaZe dominate

At the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023, Natus Vincere won against NiP, FaZe beat Cloud9 and Astralis lost against Heroic. Vitality won against Complexity.

With the wins, NAVI and Heroic are now in the quarterfinals and FaZe and Vitality are in the semifinals.

NAVI vs. NiP

Natus Vincere won 2-0 against Ninjas in Pyjamas to advance to the quarterfinals.

On the first map, Overpass, NAVI raced ahead and scored point after point, giving NiP little chance. But on the CT site, the Ninjas in Pyjamas fought their way back up and almost made a comeback, but NAVI was slightly more dominant and won Overpass 16-13.

The second map, Mirage, looked promising for NiP at first, thanks to some great rounds from Fredrik “REZ” Sterner. But Natus Vincere turned the tide and took control to win the map 13-6.

FaZe vs. Cloud9

FaZe defeated Cloud9 2-1 to become the first team to reach the semi-finals of the BLAST Premier Fall Final.

The first map was Overpass and although FaZe looked dominant at first, Cloud9 was able to catch up. It went back and forth for a long time until Cloud9 finally prevailed by a narrow 13-11 margin.The second map was Ancient. There, FaZe never relinquished control and the Russian team was unable to contain FaZe’s relentless attack, ending the first half with a one-sided 10-2 score.FaZe continued to dominate, winning Ancient 13-2. The final map was Anubis and there both teams traded blows, and although Cloud9 didn’t play badly, FaZe was more dominant and won 19-15.

Astralis vs. Heroic

Heroic eliminated Astralis from the BLAST Premier Fall Final with a 2-0 win (Vertigo 13-8 and Overpass 16-13).

The first map was Vertigo and Rasmus “sjuush” Beck helped his team Heroic to win the map. sjuush was one of the most important players for Heroic in the match, but Casper “cadiaN” Møller and René “TeSeS” Madsen also showed top performances.

The second map was a little tighter, and both teams showed solid performances, but again it was Heroic who were a little stronger and won Overpass.

Heroic will next face Cloud9 in the quarterfinals.

Vitality vs. Complexity

Vitality also advanced to the semi-finals. They beat Complexity 2:1 (Anubis 13:2, Inferno 13:7, Nuke 13:16).

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was by far the best player in the match and achieved a 1.52 rating.

The first map was Anubis and it almost couldn’t have gone worse for Complexity, as Vitality dominated and won the map 13-2. After that, on the second map, they were able to bounce back and win Inferno. ZywOo was the star on Nuke and helped his team overpower a half-motivated Complexity to win the map 16-13.
