BetBoom Dacha Dubai Dark Horses

fragster Radu M. 19. January 2024

BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 will be an excellent opportunity for many Dota 2 teams to show the world what they’re capable of. For some of the participants, such as Team Spirit Gaimin Gladiators, and Team Liquid, that’s not necessary because 2023 belonged to them in its entirety.

But for most, now is the time to gather followers and convince the sponsors that the deals they made a few months ago are worthwhile. Here are three teams that could cause major upsets at this tournament.

Nouns

This is Fly’s new team and so far, things are going reasonably well. Nouns did fail to qualify for DreamLeague S22 after losing to Shopify Rebellion in the Grand Final (3-2), but at least they qualified for this event.

With Stormstormer mid and Fly as the captain, this team has a lot of potential. Not everyone on the team has the same level of skill or can be compared with the likes of Yatoro, but the strategic component is very strong.

It remains to be seen if the players will be able to execute what Fly comes up with in his planning sessions. From what we observed in the past, in Dota 2 it’s a lot more important to have a solid strategy than to have amazing individuals. Even without superstar players like Arteezy, nouns can triumph if Fly does a good enough job.

Falcons

Falcons are a mix between two very strong former Tundra Esports players, skiter and Sneyking, the former Tundra coach, Aui_2000, ATF, who is one of the best offlaners at the moment, Cr1t-, who is one of the best position 4 players in the history of the game, and Malr1ne, who is a question mark at this point but could prove to be formidable.

After all, he reached 10.000 MMR in November 2021 and climbed to 12.000 MMR in just 14 more months. At 19 years old, he is a highly talented individual who has the potential to become as good as Pure and Yatoro.

Falcons could finish the tournament in the top six or even the top four if they play at maximum capacity.

Xtreme Gaming

Xtreme Gaming failed to qualify for The International 12 after losing in the Grand Final of the Chinese qualifier against Azure Ray, who went on to finish 4th in the tournament. However, a lot has changed since then. Ame joined the team in December last year and his presence could prove to be a deciding factor in Xtreme’s success.

When you have one of the best carry players from China on your roster, winning games should not be that difficult.
