The extensive and exciting Counter-Strike: Global Offensive calendar continues, and the Tier-A tournaments are still in full swing.

The CCT Central Europe Malta Finals is an upcoming esports tournament that will take place in Malta and will feature eight Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams from across Europe. This event is part of the CCT Circuit and will be one of the region’s most influential CS:GO tournaments. The tournament will start on February 16, 2023, and will feature a prize pool of $100,000.

This will be the first time the CCT Circuit will be played in LAN format.

Format and schedule

The CCT Central Europe Malta Finals 2023 will feature eight teams from all over Europe. These teams will be divided into two groups of four and will play in a best-of-one (BO1) double-elimination format for the first match, while the remaining matches will be played in BO3 format.

The top two teams in each group will advance to the playoffs, which will be played in a Double-Elimination bracket format. The playoffs will be played in best-of-three games.

The tournament will be held from February 16 to 19, 2023, at InterContinental Malta.

Prizes

The CCT Central Europe Malta Finals 2023 will feature a total prize purse of $100,000. In addition, the first-place finisher will receive $50,000 and direct qualification to the CCT Global Finals, while the runner-up will receive $25,000.

Participating Teams

The CCT Central Europe Malta Finals 2023 will feature eight European teams. The participating teams and their respective groups are:

Group A

  • Bad New Eagles
  • Eternal Fire
  • Team Spirit
  • HONORIS

Group B

  • ENCE Esports
  • Movistar Riders
  • Sprout
  • forZe

Favorite Teams

The favorites to win the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals 2023 are, without a doubt, Team Spirit and ENCE Esports. Speaking of Spirit mainly, it is the team with the best ranking out of the eight participants.

On the other hand, ENCE can be one of the teams that, with a blow on the table, thanks to its great European squad, can achieve outstanding achievements. Although this team has been unable to show its full potential, this event is perfect for them to achieve it.

On the other hand, we have to leave Sprout out of this list, as the team does not seem to be at its best possible level. First, they benched Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss, and Ismail “refrezh” Ali is no longer the IGL.

Starting February 16, these eight teams will meet in Malta, specifically at InterContinental Malta, for the first LAN format tournament of the CCT circuit.

We hope that all the teams arrive at their best possible level so that we can enjoy every single match of the event.
