All about TwitchCon 2023

Twitch recently announced it would visit two more cities for its annual event. Instead of San Diego and Amsterdam, TwitchCon will now take place in Paris and Las Vegas.

For North American and European viewers, this year’s conference promises to be an exciting weekend filled with live performances, esports tournaments, streamer meet-and-greets, and other surprises. The event’s goals are a celebration and in-person interactions with streamers and their communities.

This year, TwitchCon North America is coming to Las Vegas, Nevada. Breaking the trend of previous years, when the main event typically took place in California (San Francisco, Long Beach, and San Diego), it will make its debut at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The announcement of TwitchCon will take place in Paris while saying goodbye to Amsterdam, which has hosted the event in Europe until now. With this announcement, fans in this region were thrilled. TwitchCon Paris will be held at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center this year.

If a fan is exceptionally devoted and has the funds to travel, they may be able to attend both TwitchCon events. Thanks to the fact that they take place on different weekends in the summer and early fall.

On the other hand, Twitch has posted links on its blog to places where fans and content producers can start making hotel reservations for the conferences. However, neither TwitchCon has schedules yet.

TwitchCon dates in 2023

TwitchCon Paris at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center on July 8 and 9. A few months later, the North American TwitchCon will be held this year in Nevada, from October 20 to 22, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

TwitchCon Paris is the platform’s second European convention and will take place in July. The first two events were scheduled for April 2019 and May 2020, respectively, but the pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 event.

Fan reactions to TwitchCon 2023 news

With Twitch’s announcement, their Twitter post received many quick responses from fans and well-known streamers, who expressed their disapproval.

One of them was well-known YouTuber and Twitch streamer, “Tubbo,” who comments:

“Oh, so now im allowed to know the date I see how it is twitch.”

Others comment on the clown emoji. Twitch has just banned gambling on the network, but they are currently holding their flagship event in Las Vegas, a place known for gambling, which has sparked criticism among the community.

But not all were negative responses; the announcement also received many positive responses. One of them is Twitch star fl0m, who confirmed his attendance in advance.

Fans and streamers have reacted mixedly to Twitch’s announcement of new host cities for its annual convention. Many people have appreciated attending these events to interact in person with their favorite streamers, but this year’s news has caused a rift among fans.
