Activision Considers Early Access for COD 2024 Pre-Orders

Treyarch’s next release, CoD 2024, is reportedly considering offering fans “weeks” of early access with select game modes, particularly the Zombies mode, if they pre-order the game.

Recent CoD titles have followed a pattern where players can jump into certain parts of the experience early if they lock in their pre-order in advance. Activision is seemingly sticking with this trend moving forward, according to reports from WindowsCentral.

Zombies mode could appear in the next Call of Duty in Early Access for pre-order

CoD Zombies is expected to return to its former round-based glory in 2024’s release. Although Modern Warfare 3’s latest outing with early access didn’t go down all too well, fans still appear happy with this direction on social media.

One fan said, “This is great. I love being able to play modes without affecting the MP grind.” Another fan chimed in, “Treyarch isn’t known for their amazing campaigns like Infinity Ward… so early Zombies makes sense. They don’t want a redo of MW3 campaign early access.”

As CoD 2024 is still almost a year away from release, this early intel should be taken with a grain of salt for the time being. Fans still have plenty of support left for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone before the next title comes into focus and with it, a potential expansion on the early access trend.
