A new way of capturing CS:GO match highlights

In the last few years, the CS:GO scene has had some ups and downs that have caused the community to lose some of its casual players. However, in the last few months, we have noticed how this community has become very strong again, and, just like many years ago, they have come back with a vengeance.

Many community members have used their creativity to create maps and scripts, and now, one has dedicated himself to creating a bot that allows you to capture the highlights of a CS:GO game. This user has used the most popular communication platform, Discord.

Now, with this bot, players can have the best moments of their CS:GO game immediately saved on Discord. As a result, there will be no need to download the entire match, search for the round and record it with other external tools.

A user named Run1e, who is a completely casual CS:GO player, set himself the task of creating a Discord bot that records the best moments of a match.

As we can see in the video, this bot, through a command, allows you to generate videos of the game you just played from Discord. The only thing this bot needs is the start command; then, you can select step by step which clip you want to generate.

Run1e, in the message on Reddit, said:

“This has been a long-standing passion project of mine, and it’s finally at a stage where I want to share it!”

Undoubtedly, this tool will be useful to players who don’t know how to make their highlight clips. Also, the fact that it is open source and everyone can use it is much better. Let’s remember that Valve has not yet generated a tool of this kind, and many players must use several editing programs to make their clips.

Those who want to use this Discord bot created by Run1e will have to wait for the voice application to verify this tool on its servers. Also, it should be noted that the bot only works in matches within Valve’s official servers, i.e., in matchmaking mode. However, Run1e itself confirmed that it could be used in FACEIT and other third-party platforms.
