Wilton ‘zews’ Prado, one of the most talented and well-known CS: GO coaches in the world suffered an unexpected heart attack yesterday. The Brazilian pro was immediately sent to the hospital and is now recovering.

He underwent heart catheterization, followed by two angioplasty surgeries, and is currently recovering from the surgeries, according to a post shared by CS: GO coach. “Hopefully everything will be well,” zews wrote on Twitter today.

Since parting ways with EG in June 2021, He has remained on the sidelines, focusing on content development and NFTs. When Zews suffered a heart attack in Brazil, he was sent to one of the country’s most prestigious hospitals. According to him, 90 percent of an artery was blocked, but surgeons were able to free it with two coronary angioplasty treatments.

When the 34-year-old Brazilian coach won back-to-back Major titles with Luminosity Gaming and SK Gaming in 2016, he acquired immense recognition and respect in the gaming community. His popularity is not limited to the Brazil region and he is well known for his coaching skills internationally too.

Journey of the influential coach

He joined Team Liquid as his first international team and the two-time CS: GO Major champion guided the gigantic team Liquid to some remarkable victories. Despite the fact that Team Liquid failed to win any major titles or champions during his tenure, the North American squad was the only one to challenge and conquer the overpowered Danish Squad, Astralis while everyone else failed.

He returned to his home country two years later and worked with organizations such as Yeah Gaming and MIBR before joining Evil Geniuses for what would be his final tenure as a coach

Zews began coaching at Games Academy after competing in CS:GO as a player in 2015. Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo’s Golden Chance project, which seeks to offer opportunities to great Brazilian athletes, helped the team relocate to North America. Luminosity, the finest Brazilian team at the time led by FalleN, signed zews later that year.

They won a lot of international tournaments and became the second team after Fnatic to win two titles in a row. As soon as the news leaked on social media, players, coaches, and CS: GO fans from all over the world sent him their best wishes.
