After the Supreme Court of the Netherlands reportedly declared 1XBet bankrupt, the bookmaker, linked to numerous esports organizations, denied the information.

1XBet denies rumors of bankruptcy

According to a report published in June 2022, Curacao, a Dutch Caribbean island, had declared 1XCorp, the alleged parent company of 1XBet, bankrupt. 1XCorp appealed the decision to the Dutch Supreme Court, but on January 20, a report stated that the appeal had been denied, citing the official website of the Dutch judiciary.

In some reports, one of the accusations against the bookmaker, 1XBet, is that it is not paying winners. In turn, they are delaying and obstructing the withdrawal of funds by users and wasting money on excessive advertising while struggling to make ends meet.

However, in response to the reports, 1XBet claims that.

“The information mixture of fantasy with no basis in reality or fact.”

On the other hand, 1XBet comments.

“1xBet has encountered no issues concerning its Curacao license, which remains in place and with which it is fully compliant.”

“Everything is business as usual.”

The company filing for bankruptcy is 1XCorp, and 1XBet denies that they own 1XCorp.

The company commented

“This is false. 1xBet is headquartered in Cyprus with thousands of employees.”

Similarly, 1XBet responds to claims that it is a Russian bookmaker.

“This is false. 1xBet is a global gambling brand headquartered in Cyprus with operations across Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, working via a franchise model. Its products and services are blocked in Russia and Belarus.”

On the other hand, it was commented that 1XBet, had lost its right to operate in Russia in 2021. However, in the most recent statement, it refutes this information, saying:

“1xBet cannot have lost its license there because it did not have it in the first place. The action relates to another bookmaking business in Russia, which is neither owned or controlled by 1xBet.”

Sponsor of major teams

Bookmaker 1xBet, which has strong ties to the soccer industry, signed significant contracts with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in 2022 and became a major sponsor of esports organizations and tournaments.

Teams known for their Dota 2 operations, such as Team Spirit, OG, and Tundra Esports, teamed up with bookmaker 1XBet to sign significant sponsorship deals in 2022. Throughout their collaborations, 1XBet supported some of the material these clubs published. In addition, the company collaborated with WePlay and other organizers, as well as esports clubs, and also organized its competitions.
