The star VALORANT player could be leaving Sentinels by the end of the year if the rumor mill is to be believed. Tyson “TenZ” Ngo will need to re-sign with Sentinels to remain with the organization for next year’s Partnership League.

Talks regarding the franchised league between Riot Games and many organizations, including Sentinels, have been going on for several months. While some organizations are trying to secure a place in the official franchised Valorant esports circuit, which will start in February, others left competitive Valorant completely, as they weren’t able to get in.

A frantic transfer mania is ahead

According to his contract, he is allowed to negotiate with other teams in December. However, Sentinels will likely do whatever it takes to renegotiate with TenZ if they earn a spot in the partnership league, as Riot’s full roster has not yet been finalized. The popular player joins the long list of players and coaches whose contracts are due to expire at the end of the year and who will be looking for new opportunities as free agents.

A  will likely ensue once the teams that have successfully negotiated a partnership with Riot are announced. Partnered teams will have to submit their line-ups by mid-October to give developers ample time to complete the logistics of moving players to their respective international league locations.

The VALORANT star TenZ

During his tenure with Sentinels, TenZ has become the most popular professional player in Valorant. According to Twitch Tracker, the 21-year-old has averaged 24,000 viewers on Twitch in the last three months and gained over 3 million followers. Moreover, things have been going pretty well for Sentinels since winning the Masters 2 title in Reykjavik in May 2021.

TenZ also recently decided to utilize his Twitch popularity and published his own project. In “Project T” collection in TenZ’s new online store, different items of clothing can be combined to form complete outfits. The products are decorated with TenZ’s logos and branding and can be pre-ordered during the VALORANT Champions Tour until September 19.

Additionaly, as part of the Project T collection, a manga with the same name was also released. It can be viewed on the same website under “Read the Manga” and, like the clothing line, was created in collaboration with his agency Prodigy, while drawings were made by Levi Tonin.

While TenZ didn’t make it through the NA Last Chance Qualifier with his team, he remains a remarkable player and in all probability, Sentinels won’t give him up so easily. That said, we’ll have to see what the coming year has in store for Valorant teams and players.
