VCT Pacific Stages 1 and 2: The Rundown

While Paper Rex and Gen.G are busy preparing for VALORANT Masters Madrid, preparations for VCT Pacific Stage 1 and 2 are now underway, including a new venue, ticketing information, and schedules.

Fragster has broken down key information regarding one of the most hotly-contested pro VALORANT regions in the world, and how fans will be able to watch them.

THE FORMAT

In Stage 1, teams will be randomly split into two groups, with five teams in group Alpha and six teams in group Omega. Alpha teams will face off against Omega teams in a single round-robin, best-of-three series. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs. These six total teams will have to fight tooth and nail in a double elimination bracket to punch a ticket to VALORANT Masters Shanghai, the second main global event for pro VALORANT competition before Champions Seoul.

Beginning this season, teams will also earn a Championship Point for each match won, with the winner of Stage 1 receiving three additional Championship Points. These points will contribute to their qualification for Champions 2024 at the end of the season.

Come Stage 2, Alpha and Omega groupings as Stage 1 will remain, but this time, teams will face off against those from their own groups. The top six teams with the best performance over the course of Stage 1 and 2 will advance to the Stage 2 Playoffs.

Teams can secure their spots for VALORANT Champions Seoul by either securing a top 3 finish at Stage 2 Playoffs or getting the most Championship Points. Gen.G currently has three points from winning VCT Pacific Kickoff.

 

ON-SITE FAN EXPERIENCES

Several on-site fan experiences await fans who will attend VCT Pacific Stage 1 and 2.

One of them is an exhibition for the Team Capsules, where every team’s Classic pistol skins, player card flags, and sprays are brought to life. The Riot Games and VCT Pacific Merch Store will also be there for fans who want to buy official licensed team merchandise.

Photobooths and fan sign walls will also be present on-site to give fans something to remember their VCT Pacific visit by.

 

NEW VENUE AND TICKETING

Coex Atrium in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea will be the official host for the VCT Pacific Stage 1 and the Stage 2 Groups and Playoffs (except for Grand Finals, which will be announced at a later date).

Tickets for Stage 1 Group Stage will be on sale starting 18 March at 1400H Korean Standard Time (KST). Fans can buy tickets for specific matches of their choice each day. Additional tickets will open for purchase 12 days before each match day.

Stage 1 Playoff and Stage 2 tickets will be announced at a later date, stay tuned for more information on when it releases.

VCT Pacific Stage 1 Groups will be held from April 6-29, while Playoffs for Stage 1 will be held from May 3-12.

Meanwhile, VCT Pacific Stage 2 will be held from June 15 to July 8 for Groups, with a 4-day break before Playoffs happen from July 12-21.
