The sixth week in VCT Americas league is underway where on the second day LOUD and Leviatán managed to get away with a win over 100 Thieves and KRÜ respectively.

With this, the LOUD dominance saga continues as they are unstoppable with 7 wins in a row and without dropping a single match. Meanwhile, Leviatán also solidify a comfortable spot in the league table with 4 wins and 3 losses followed by FURIA. Let’s recap the second day of VCT Pacific League week 7.

LOUD vs 100 Thieves

LOUD defeated 100 Thieves 2-0 to secure their seventh win in this tournament. 100 Thieves who had a relatively better initial phase are now failing to keep up the momentum. This is their second loss after getting beaten by NRG 2-0 last week.

Matches were decided to be played on the following maps: Ascent (LOUD’s pick), and Split (100 Thieves pick), Haven (Decider).

Ascent

The first half of the map between 100 Thieves and LOUD saw a close contest, with 100 Thieves initially taking the lead after winning the pistol and follow-up rounds. However, LOUD soon turned the tide with an impressive counterattack, ultimately leading the first half 8-4. In the second half, LOUD continued their domination with exceptional aim and headshot kills, securing the map with a commanding 13-5 score. Felipe “Less” de Loyola stood out with 22 kills, 342 ACS, and a 1.65 K/D, making a significant impact on the game.

Split

As the second map, Split began, expectations were high for a potential comeback from 100 Thieves. The two teams battled fiercely, resulting in a half-time score of 6-6. In the second half, the momentum continued with several intense exchanges of rounds. Although 100 Thieves initially reached the map score before LOUD, the latter’s impressive round clutching led to overtime. In a nail-biting finish, LOUD secured the map in the 28th round with a final score of 15-13. Notably, Erick “aspas” Santos was in beast mode with 33 kills and 319 ACS, playing a crucial role in LOUD’s victory.

Leviatán vs KRÜ Esports

Leviatán secured a convincing 2-0 victory over KRÜ Esports in the final matchup of day two. Unfortunately for KRÜ Esports, this loss effectively eliminates them from playoff contention. With the end of the tournament fast approaching, it’s clear that KRÜ Esports will need to undergo significant restructuring and revamping if they hope to come back stronger in future competitions.

Matches were decided to be played on the following maps: Haven (Leviatán), Split (KRÜ), and Pearl (Decider).

Haven

Throughout the first half of the match, KRÜ Esports struggled to gain any ground, managing to secure only one round in total. The half-time score stood at a decisive 11-1 in favor of Leviatán. As the second half began, Leviatán won the pistol and quickly reached the map score. Despite winning a few rounds, KRÜ Esports couldn’t hang on for long, and Leviatán secured the victory with a final score of 13-4. To be honest, Could not mention a single MVP as it was a complete team performance.

Split

On the second map, Split, Leviatán started out strong as the defenders and dominated the first half with a commanding lead of 9-3. They perfectly capitalized on the defender-favored map to put themselves in a comfortable position. In the second half, KRÜ Esports couldn’t muster up much of a comeback, and Leviatán secured the victory with a final score of 13-4 once again. It was a dominant performance by Leviatán on both maps, and they continue to solidify their spot in the league table with four wins and three losses. In the role of Asta, Roberto “Mazino” Rivas dropped 23 kills, 351 ACS at 1.86 K/D.

The final day of the VCT Americas League will start shortly when NRG and FURIA will be in action, Fans can catch the live action at Valorant Esport’s official channel on Twitch and Youtube.
