After the failure at the DPC Tour 1, Team Secret was forced to make several changes to its lineup to try to return to the top tier of the Dota 2 scene. As a result of these changes, the organization has announced the signing of Armel “Armel” Tabios and Daniyal “yamich” Lazebnyy, who have come to reinforce Team Secret’s roster for their new path in Division II.

These signings are part of a clean slate for Team Secret’s Dota 2 lineup after being relegated to Division II of the DPC. The team finished in eighth place in the table and, in addition to missing out on the Lima Major, also lost its place in the top tier.

Team Secret reinforces with Armel and yamich

As we mentioned, last Saturday, before the rosters were closed by Valve, Team Secret announced the signing of Armel and yamich to replace Baqyt “Zayac” Emiljanov and Roman “Resolut1on” Fomynok.

Team Secret’s clean slate began last week when the organization benched Zayac and Resolut1on. Remember that this duo helped the organization finish second in The International 11.

Armel is highly regarded as one of the top mid-lane players in the SEA region and has contributed to the success of teams such as TNC Predator and Fnatic. However, the player arrives from a bad season in Tour 1 with Fnatic, where the organization temporarily withdrew from the Dota 2 scene.

On the other hand, yamich comes with some inactivity on the servers of the highest competitive level of Dota 2. The player decided to part ways with Virtus.pro last December.

Team Secret captain Clement “Puppey” Ivanov talked about the new additions to the team and said that both players have all the necessary tools to bring Team Secret back to being that team that all fans want to see.

Role changes in Team Secret

In addition to being new additions, there has been a change of roles within the team. Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan has been moved to the offlane to make way for Armel. In addition, according to Puppey, “Armel has been a dominant midlaner throughout his career in the Dota 2 scene.”.

As for Yamich, Puppey said he hopes his hunger as a young player who wants to win it all will inspire the rest of the team in the quest to be at the top of Dota 2 once again.

There is no doubt that Puppey, the rest of the players, the organization, and the fans of Team Secret, are hoping these additions will return the team to Division I. And the reality is that this may happen sooner rather than later. This Team Secret lineup still has the core that finished second place at The International 11.
