Snappi and sAw leave ENCE

ENCE had three impressive results this season. First they won IEM Dallas by defeating MOUZ in the Grand Final. Then they finished 2^nd at IEM Cologne. And finally, they finished 2^nd again at Gamers8. These performances clearly indicate that ENCE made some important changes in 2023.

In an interview with SunPayus, the player revealed to us that everything was improved. From what happens in training sessions and official matches, to how players conduct themselves outside of these matches.

A strong team is often the result of the synergy that exists between its players. If they feel good playing together and have confidence in each other, the results will be much better.

In the second half of 2023, ENCE played reasonably well even when they failed to finish in the top two. They were 3^rd – 4^th at ESL Pro League S18, 3^rd – 4^th CS Asia Championships, and 5^th – 6^th at IEM Sydney.

Given all this success, it’s obvious that ENCE’s management did not decide to remove Snappi and sAw out of the blue. According to Willkey, ENCE’s general manager, both of them were offered the possibility to extend their contracts and receive excellent salaries. But they decided not to. This clearly indicates that they have been approached by other teams.

Potential new teams for Snappi and sAw

One name that comes to mind is Team Falcons. The Saudi-owned club bought zonic and Magisk from Team Vitality, but still need three more players to complete their CS2 roster. Snappi could be one of them.

In the coming weeks, we will find out what he decided to do and who will be his new team. There are quite a few organizations looking for top-tier players at the moment, so there are multiple options to choose from.

We know, for instance, that Heroic are in a lot of trouble as an organization. After losing both stavn and jabbi to Astralis, as well as cadiaN, their roster is in shambles and will need to be completed soon to have any chance of succeeding in 2024. Snappi would be an amazing signing because he’s highly skilled and Danish.

For sAw, nobody can tell at this point where he intends to go. Lots of teams are searching for players, but the demand for coaches is not as great. Until the end of the year, we’ll likely find out what caused him to give up on such a comfortable job.
