Shadow bans tormenting players in Warzone 2

While it is true that we can still make the excuse that every new game tends to have some gameplay bugs, developers like Activision and Infinity Ward can’t afford this in early 2023 with Warzone 2.

Well, Warzone 2 has gotten off on the wrong foot in the new year with a straight-up game-breaking problem that affects players who are having a great game. According to reports, this problem has been on the servers for several weeks.

Warzone 2 kicks out players who get ten kills

Many users on different social networks have reported that the game has kicked them out when they get ten kills in a Warzone 2 game, and, on top of that, they are banned. That is, for many players who achieve ten kills in a game, their successive blows will be disconnection and shadow ban.

As we can see, the content creator Isaac shared a sample of this problem on his Twitter.

For many players, this problem has been going on for the past two weeks, but they have raised their voices, knowing they are not the only ones.

Nadeshot victim of this bug

The founder of the popular 100 Thieves organization Nadeshot was banned from Warzone 2 when the game was well underway. He was subsequently shadow banned after just two hours of playing.

Nadeshot thought this was because his account had been reported several times due to his high level of play.

But, upon further investigation, he noticed that he was disconnected and banned after getting his tenth kill in the game, which fits perfectly with what other players have described.

Nadeshot’s words in his stream were:

“What am I possibly getting shadowbanned for?”

“From getting knocked [down], dying eight times in a game, and getting $32,000 spent to revive me? How in the world can I, a 30-year-old man who can’t even shoot straight anymore, get shadow banned?”

While it’s true that Nadeshot was able to resolve the Shadowban issue in as little as an hour, other players will have to wait up to a week for it. It may have a lot to do with the status Nadeshot has in the esports and CoD community.

In the meantime, if you’re early in the game and are close to 10 kills, maybe you should let go of the next enemy you see.

How to check the status of my Shadowban?

Players can check their shadow ban status by logging into Activision’s support page.

Players who have received a shadow ban will be examined in detail by the game developers and may have their ban removed or receive an additional suspension.
