In early 2022, Riot Games presented VALORANT Premier, a new initiative related to the shooter’s competitive system. In November of the same year, the alpha mode started, but the developer had already set a date for the open beta of a system that a large part of the community would like.

The new project will offer the most competitive players a new system for competing with which they can access the different VCT Challengers and face professional teams. However, it is still necessary to wait a little more time to be able to use this game mode.

Details on the new game mode coming to VALORANT

VALORANT Premier will be a competitive team-based shooter system to enhance the future of the competitive scene. Premier will allow matches to be played throughout an entire act. However, players have to face other teams formed by five teammates; and they must play maps previously designated by Riot Games to try to score as many victories as possible.

The players with the most victories will qualify for a final tournament in a playoff format. The long-term goal is that this tournament structure will eventually become the path to be taken by all VALORANT players who want to play in professional tournaments.

Riot also intends to make this mode attractive to other players, although the details are unknown. Presumably, there will be a ranking system that will match teams with similar skill levels; and there will be a means for us to advance with our teammates.

Specific questions about Premier mode will not be answered until closer to the debut date. The corporation must confront the new features soon, as Act 2 of Episode 6 will be released.

Last but not least, it is vital to comment that Premier mode will debut as an open beta. It is likely that there will be some technical issues or that Riot Games will decide to disable it in the future for any number of reasons. It will all depend on how well it works and how well the community supports it.

VALORANT launched Quick Mode despite similar situations and kept it running. Furthermore, the creators recently stated that it would remain active forever.

The arrival date of VALORANT Premier

After a few months with the alpha mode, Riot has confirmed that it is going one step further by enabling an open beta. Andy Ho, the director of the shooter, announced in the official video that Act 3 of Episode 6 will bring the VALORANT Premier beta, which is still a few months away.

Until then, you have time to practice and build a competitive roster to aspire to the competition’s top.

VALORANT receives a new and long-awaited Act

Act 2 of Episode 6 will come to VALORANT in the next few days. Apart from the fact that we already know it will be the last one before Premier, it should be a significant occasion for players.

The developer has been running a very aggressive promotional campaign on its Twitter account. With the campaign, they indicate the arrival of some important news, and rumors about releasing a new agent have been circulating. Naturally, we like to believe that this is a character. It makes sense, given the company’s actions and the time since the last new unit appeared in the video game.
