In this offseason of the COD, most teams will make a complete renovation in their lineup for the 2024 CDL season, and the Seattle Surge are no exception. According to rumors, the Surge began restructuring by signing Ray “Rambo” Lussier as the team’s new Head Coach.

This is an expected move, especially for an organization like the Surge, which had a very good closing season. However, the team needed an urgent change of scenery for a more competitive performance in the upcoming season.

Reports claim that Rambo would join the Seattle Surge as Head Coach.

According to Jacob Hale, a freelance reporter for Dexerto, Rambo, former Head Coach of OpTic Texas, has reportedly signed with the Seattle Surge for the 2024 CDL season.

Recall that Rambo was terminated from OpTic Texas earlier this year when he got into a loud public argument with Brandon “Dashy” Otell. As a result, Rambo decided to send Dashy to the OpTic bench, but, Dashy did not last long there, as he returned to the team’s starting lineup, and Rambo was immediately removed as Head Coach.

Rambo remained in the organization without a specific role, as they signed Damon “Karma” Barlow to assist JohnPaul “JPKrez” Krez in the technical direction of OpTic Texas for the remainder of the season.

Seattle Surge clean up its lineup

After the 2023 Call of Duty League season ended, the Seattle Surge terminated their entire lineup, including their coaches and GM, John “Revan” Boble.

This is where Rambo comes in, who seems to have secured a new home heading into the upcoming CDL season. Now, he will have to prove his leadership skills and, above all, his experience on the scene to lead an entirely new lineup that has yet to be announced.

As in every offseason, many rumors surround the players that could sign for the team. However, these are only rumors, as the organization has neither confirmed nor denied them. However, what is more than clear is that the Surge are working hard to put together a competitive team to fight to be at the top next season.

There is no doubt that Rambo’s arrival is a perfect fit for the Surge, as he is a very experienced coach and, above all, a winner since he has managed to win different tournaments throughout his career.
