Perkz and Wunder to sign with Team Heretics for LEC 2024

Rumors and reports continue in the League of Legends competitive scene that the offseason is not yet underway due to the dispute of Worlds 2023.

This time, we go to the EMEA region, where Team Heretics seems to surprise many with their new signings for 2024. According to several reports, Martin “Wunder” Hansen and Luka “Perkz” Perković would be the team’s new signings. Moreover, if this move is confirmed, we will watch the return of the spectacular trio that shone in G2 Esports in the LEC alongside Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski.

2023 is very close to concluding, and all the teams that did not meet their expectations are considering making different changes to assemble a solid squad for 2024. Moreover, this is common in the scene, especially League of Legends, where there is a lot of talent worldwide.

Team Heretics to sign Wunder and Perkz for LEC 2024

According to two Sheep Esports web portal reports, Team Heretics would have reached verbal agreements to sign Wunder and Perkz for 2024.

Team Heretics is an extremely popular Spanish team in the European esports scene. However, the team failed to qualify for Worlds 2023, and throughout the season, they performed inconsistently in many matches. As a result, it is completely understandable that they are considering making several changes to their roster heading into 2024.

There is no doubt that these two players (Wunder and Perkz) are some of the most attractive players to be found in Free Agency, so they are more than likely to have offers from other teams. However, reuniting with Jankos at Team Heretics makes it somewhat easier for this pair of players to decide.

Recall that this trio (Jankos, Wunder, and Perkz) won it all with G2 Esports from the 2018 season in the LEC and were also MSI 2019 champions and Worlds runners-up.

The trio disbands

After these successes in G2 Esports, the trio dissolved, as Perkz left for Cloud9 for a year before joining Team Vitality at the end of 2021. On the other hand, Wunder stabbed G2 in the back by signing with their historical rivals, Fnatic.

For 2024, this trio can reunite under the Team Heretics banner to help the organization fight for its first LEC title and qualify for MSI and Worlds 2024. And the fact is that these three players have a history of success and, above all, have winning blood, so we will be in the presence of an extraordinary team next year.

However, these are only rumors, as Team Heretics still have Shunsuke “Evi” Murase and Vincent “Vetheo” Berrié on their roster, and their contracts with the org are until the end of 2024. As a result, we only have to wait for official information from Team Heretics regarding their 2024 roster.
